Health Insurance

Health insurance provides coverage for specified medical costs under an insurance contract. Employer-sponsored cover may include employees and eligible dependants, subject to policy terms.

Example

An employer's group plan pays eligible hospital expenses according to the policy, while the employee checks exclusions and any required authorisation.

What to keep in mind

Coverage is not a promise to pay every medical expense. Explain limits, exclusions, waiting periods, cost-sharing and what happens when employment ends or a dependent's eligibility changes.
