Statutory Compliance

Statutory compliance means meeting obligations imposed by law. In employment, these may concern pay, working conditions, records, contributions, safety and the treatment of workers.

Example

An employer identifies the registrations, payroll filings and workplace records required for its locations and assigns an owner and deadline to each obligation.

What to keep in mind

Requirements vary with jurisdiction, establishment and workforce. A generic checklist or software setting cannot establish compliance without checking which rules currently apply to the actual business.
