Boolean Search

Boolean search combines keywords with operators such as AND, OR and NOT to narrow or broaden search results. Recruiters use it to find profiles matching selected skills or experience.

Example

A search for developer AND Python AND (Django OR Flask) looks for profiles mentioning Python and at least one of those frameworks.

What to keep in mind

Search platforms support different syntax, so test the query. Overly narrow terms can exclude suitable people who describe equivalent experience differently; search results still require a careful review.
