Candidate Evaluation

Candidate evaluation is the interpretation and comparison of evidence collected during selection. It determines how well each candidate meets the role criteria and informs the hiring decision.

Example

An interview panel reviews scores from the same questions and work exercise, discusses evidence behind differences and records its selection recommendation.

What to keep in mind

Separate observations from impressions. Statements such as explained the trade-off clearly are more useful than vague labels such as good fit, which can conceal inconsistent or biased judgements.
