Confirmation Process

The confirmation process reviews an employee's position at the end of a probation or initial assessment period. It records the outcome and any changes required by the employment terms.

Example

A manager reviews the agreed objectives, discusses evidence with the employee and HR issues the appropriate confirmation or other permitted outcome.

What to keep in mind

Do not assume that silence automatically confirms or extends probation. Check the contract and applicable law, communicate decisions clearly and document any support or follow-up that has been agreed.
