HR Benchmarking

HR benchmarking compares an organisation's workforce measures or practices with a relevant reference group. The reference may be similar employers, an industry survey or the organisation's own past performance.

Example

A retailer compares vacancy duration with employers recruiting similar roles in the same region, using the same start and end points for the measure.

What to keep in mind

Check the year, sample and calculation method before comparing results. A benchmark describes a reference group; it does not automatically provide the right target for your organisation.
