HR Innovation

HR innovation is the introduction and testing of a new way to solve a workforce or employee-service problem. The change may concern a process, policy, technology or working arrangement.

Example

An employer pilots skills-based project assignments in one department and compares access to opportunities and project completion with its previous allocation process.

What to keep in mind

Novelty alone does not demonstrate value. Set an evaluation question, gather employee feedback and decide in advance what evidence would justify expanding, changing or stopping the trial.
