Inclusive Hiring

Inclusive hiring designs recruitment so qualified people from different backgrounds can access opportunities and be assessed fairly. It considers language, outreach, criteria, interview structure and accessibility.

Example

A hiring team removes an unnecessary degree requirement and offers accessible interview arrangements while retaining the skills genuinely needed for the role.

What to keep in mind

Review the entire process rather than only the job advert. Consistent evidence-based assessment and clear accommodation routes help prevent an inclusive message from being undermined by later selection barriers.
