Leadership Assessment

Leadership assessment evaluates evidence about a person's leadership capabilities, behaviours or suitability for a role. Methods can include structured interviews, simulations, work evidence and multi-source feedback.

Example

Candidates for a management role complete a simulated prioritisation exercise and a structured interview scored against the same role-relevant criteria.

What to keep in mind

Use trained assessors and methods suitable for the decision. A personality questionnaire alone cannot establish leadership ability, and assessment results should be interpreted alongside relevant experience and context.
