Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity recognises variation in how people think, learn, process information and interact. In workplaces, the term often informs inclusion of people with conditions such as autism, ADHD or dyslexia.

Example

A team offers clear written instructions and flexible ways to ask questions, while discussing any individual adjustments an employee needs.

What to keep in mind

Do not infer a diagnosis from behaviour or assume all neurodivergent people share strengths or difficulties. Focus on individual preferences, barriers and job requirements rather than stereotypes.
