OKRs

Objectives and key results, or OKRs, connect a qualitative goal with measurable evidence of progress. The objective states the intended direction; key results describe outcomes that would indicate success.

Example

An objective to improve onboarding might include key results for reducing access delays and increasing new starters' understanding of their first-month responsibilities.

What to keep in mind

A task list is not automatically a set of key results. Clarify whether targets are committed or aspirational, and avoid using ambitious OKRs mechanically as individual pay or performance ratings.
