POSH Compliance

POSH compliance commonly refers to an employer's obligations under India's law addressing sexual harassment of women at the workplace. It includes prevention, awareness and the applicable complaint-handling arrangements.

Example

An employer reviews its policy, staff awareness and the constitution and functioning of the required complaint body rather than treating an annual training session as the whole obligation.

What to keep in mind

Coverage, committee requirements and procedures must be checked against current law and official guidance. A general grievance process cannot automatically replace the statutory sexual-harassment mechanism where that mechanism applies.
