Pulse Survey

A pulse survey is a short survey repeated periodically or used to check a focused issue. It gives timely feedback without asking the full range of questions in a larger employee survey.

Example

After changing the shift handover process, an employer asks a few recurring questions to see whether staff understand responsibilities and receive the information they need.

What to keep in mind

Short surveys can still create fatigue if they are frequent and lead to no action. Keep wording consistent when tracking change and explain how feedback will influence decisions.
