Employee Engagement

Employee engagement describes the commitment and involvement people bring to their work and organisation. It is commonly assessed through several survey questions rather than a single universal measure.

Example

A survey asks whether employees understand priorities, feel able to contribute and would recommend the employer, then managers discuss the results with their teams.

What to keep in mind

Engagement is related to satisfaction but is not identical to it. Use a consistent measurement approach and investigate the working conditions behind responses before choosing an action.
