Workforce Redeployment

Workforce redeployment moves existing employees to different work to meet changing organisational needs. It may be temporary or permanent and can involve training or revised terms.

Example

When one project ends, an employer assesses whether affected employees can move into suitable vacancies in another team with reasonable preparation.

What to keep in mind

Check suitability, employee circumstances and applicable agreement or consultation requirements. Redeployment should not be assumed feasible merely because a vacancy exists with a superficially similar title.
