Candidate Relationship Management

Candidate relationship management maintains communication and records about potential applicants over time. It supports recruitment outreach before or between specific applications and is often abbreviated CRM in recruiting.

Example

A recruiter keeps approved contact preferences and sends relevant vacancy information to people who expressed interest in future engineering roles.

What to keep in mind

Distinguish this recruiting use from customer relationship management. Keep information current, honour communication preferences and do not retain candidate profiles indefinitely without an appropriate purpose and lawful basis.
