Internal Communication

Internal communication is the flow of information within an organisation, including between teams, leaders and employees. It helps people coordinate work and understand decisions or priorities.

Example

A weekly operations update tells sales, delivery and support teams about upcoming changes that affect customer commitments and identifies the responsible contacts.

What to keep in mind

Distinguish information that everyone needs from details relevant to a specific group. Excessive broadcasts can obscure important messages, while informal-only communication may leave remote or shift workers uninformed.
