Learning Effectiveness

Learning effectiveness describes how well a learning activity achieves its intended outcomes. Evidence may include knowledge gained, skills demonstrated, behaviour applied or improvements in relevant work results.

Example

After a safety session, supervisors observe whether workers correctly carry out the procedure and review errors over a suitable follow-up period.

What to keep in mind

Learner satisfaction is useful feedback but is not proof of learning or impact. Choose evidence that matches the intended outcome and account for other changes affecting performance.
