Overtime Management

Overtime management controls work beyond applicable normal hours, including authorisation, records, payment and workload review. What counts as overtime and how it is compensated depend on the governing rules.

Example

A supervisor records additional hours needed for an urgent order, checks the applicable limits and sends approved records to payroll for the correct treatment.

What to keep in mind

Approval policies do not necessarily remove legal obligations to pay for work performed. Verify jurisdiction, worker coverage and current rules rather than applying one overtime rate to every employee.
