Recognition Programs

Recognition programs are organised ways to acknowledge employee contributions or behaviours. They may include peer nominations, manager awards or service recognition with defined criteria.

Example

A monthly scheme invites colleagues to nominate someone who solved a recurring customer problem, with a panel reviewing the evidence against published criteria.

What to keep in mind

Avoid popularity contests and vague categories. Explain selection, eligibility and any rewards, and review whether nominations consistently overlook particular roles, locations or working arrangements.
