Temporary Staffing

Temporary staffing fills a short-term workforce need for a limited period. Workers may be hired directly on temporary terms or supplied through an agency.

Example

An employer hires a receptionist to cover a planned absence and specifies the expected assignment dates and reporting arrangements.

What to keep in mind

Temporary workers may still have employment rights and benefit entitlements. Check applicable rules, avoid misleading promises about permanent work and review access and handover arrangements when the assignment ends.
