Workforce Analytics

Workforce analytics examines the composition, availability, cost and output of a workforce. It supports decisions about staffing levels, deployment, scheduling and the capabilities needed to deliver work.

Example

A contact centre compares hourly call demand with scheduled staffing and absence patterns to identify periods when service targets are likely to be missed.

What to keep in mind

Specify whether the workforce includes contractors and temporary staff. Headcount alone may misrepresent available capacity when working hours, leave and skill requirements differ between workers.
