Employee Journey Mapping

Employee journey mapping documents the steps, interactions and pain points employees encounter in a particular experience. It helps teams see a process from the employee's perspective.

Example

HR maps an internal transfer from application to the first month in the new role and identifies repeated forms and unclear responsibility for equipment.

What to keep in mind

Choose a specific journey and involve the people who experience it. A process diagram written only by administrators can miss delays, uncertainty and workarounds that employees encounter.
