Employer Branding

Employer branding is the work of shaping and communicating how an organisation is understood as a place to work. It draws on employment practices, employee experiences and external messaging.

Example

An employer explains its development opportunities on its careers site and supports those claims with specific information about mentoring and internal vacancies.

What to keep in mind

Branding is more credible when the promised experience matches reality. Attractive recruitment content cannot compensate for persistent problems with management, pay accuracy or working conditions.
